Why Does Rick Ross’ New Remix Of Miguel’s “How Many Drinks” Exist?

September 25, 2014

Rick Ross has been on-the-ball with his remixes lately, hammering out “Royals” and “Bound 2″ reinterpretations when those songs were ruling the zeitgeist. But now, for no apparent reason, Rozay has gone and dropped a remix of a remix of Miguel‘s 2012 song “How Many Drinks?” Maybe business is slow for the Bawse or he’s looking for something to do now that he’s appeared on every late night show ever.

The Kaleidoscope Dream cut got a reworked version with Kendrick Lamar a year ago, and Rozay uses that as the foundation. The beat is largely unaltered as he opens the track with an unremarkable and romantic (for him) verse, and after that the rest of the initial remix version is intact.
